put a smile on his face

11 July: Michael Rosenbaum turned thirty years old today. And while I lust after him to a nigh-ridiculous degree, I'm not going to gush on and on about that here. (At least, I don't think so. But journal-writing does have that tendency to evoke surprises from one's own psyche.) I probably wouldn't even have mentioned the birthday thing, except...

He asked for people (read: fans) thinking of sending him birthday gifts to donate to Ronald McDonald House instead. And damnit, that's just cool. I wasn't planning to send him anything, and I've never donated to RMcDH before despite having known people who depended on it when children in their families were ill, but I just went and made a decent-sized donation.

There's a page set up to take Ronald McDonald House donations here. Go. You'll feel better. And Michael will wear one of those adorably stunned, startled, "For me?" smiles, and we'll know we put it there, even if we don't see it.

all my WIPs are belong to clex

So it was pointed out to me that both the smut snippets I posted (Full Spectrum and Close) are from Clark's POV. And I noticed that both And the Sailor, Home from the Sea and The Utterly Perfect Murder are in Lex's POV. The third serious story, the one I moved to the back burner, is Lex talking, too. I wondered; I hadn't set out to write in a Lex-for-drama-mode, Clark-for-sex-mode dichotomy. I delved into my WIP folder, and found:

current works-in-progress list )

Well, what do you know, it's an even split. I don't think I could have done that if I'd been trying. And there are serious fics from Clark's POV, and at least one smut-centric one from Lex's. Good to know I'm not typecasting.

The little icon-photo? Me. The finger? Innocent.
