buggery | extremely spoilery Smallville speculation

So we're again seeing "ripped from the fanfic" touches and cringeworthy plays on the Superman mythos (phone booth, anyone?), as well as horrible cliches in place of solid plotting. But we're also, it looks like, getting at least one more of those wonderfully clever twists on the mythos we thought we knew: how much more appropriate for Clark to blame himself the rest of his life for Jonathan Kent's heart attack if said coronary was brought on by his human body's inability to adjust to the changes that made him Clark's physical equal long enough to wrest the ring from him and restore Clark to his senses? "He did it to save me! -)sob(- Oh, the humanity!"

Hm. Apparently the Jack's superpower is writing sentences with unreasonable quantities of clauses.

But how happy would I be never to hear another damned fatuous platitude?

And non-speculative but still spoilery... had to love Lex's one-man show of Lord of the Flies. Am I the only one who wouldn't have minded seeing him dripping with pig's blood, wearing nothing but a loincloth?
