shiny happy Lex ficlet

So Lex comes to me and says, Jack, Jack, Jack. What were you thinking, saying you couldn't write happyfic? I glared at him. Lex, I said, when have you ever come to me with a happy story to tell? You're Lex. You do angst like it's going out of style. And he just grinned and whispered in my ear.
what Lex whispered )

Sometimes Lex is just a big softie. Hey, he made me say it.

Edited to Add: I did actually expand this after all! It's now complete and called True Love and Falsehood.

(no subject)

I can understand people who don't want to read blogs. I don't want to read email lists. What I don't get is people complaining that fic they don't want to see shouldn't be posted. Bugger off, you. You know who you are.

Much as my sundry Email Issues will continue to keep me staving off the feedback-mail, I'm apparently becoming a feedback whore when it comes to LJ comments. You're reading what I wrote? You, the one here, not the other you I was talking to before? Love ya.

I like watching tidbits of other authors' writing processes. It's probably my favourite thing about blogs, even more than being able to write and get comments without resorting to e-mail. Not that it constitutes a writers' workshop, exactly, but there are similar benefits, and more fun.

Sigh. Somebody help the poor befuddled LJ newbie out and tell me how to get something to show up just on the comment view, with a link from the journal page? Got it -- thanks, Val!
