Been too long since I gave icons away.
Do you love Superman, Batman, and/or Robin? Are you a fanchild at heart? Does your mother have an embarassing photo of you in Underoos or a homemade superhero costume tucked away somewhere?

The boy in the icons -- he is a boy, though he seems sufficiently pre-pubescent androgynous that I think the icons where his package is less obvious work equally well as 'fangirl' or 'fankid' as 'fanboy' -- is named Martin. He's a character in a quirky German webcomic, Niklas and Friends, which I found a link to... uh. On somebody's LJ, and I can't remember whose at the moment, but no doubt either that poster or someone else will gently remind me and I can give credit where it's due.
Speaking of credit... some artist put a lot of time and care into drawing Martin, a lot more than I put into iconifying a few panels. The maintainer of the Niklas Comics site says he doesn't answer email, so I haven't tried asking permission to use the art in this way, but I encourage anyone taking one of these icons to credit www.niklascomics.de in their icon keywords. Particularly as an alternative to crediting me, though that's of course appreciated.
The webcomic may not be for everyone. From the strips that I've read (not all of them) there doesn't appear to be any actual kiddie porn, but the storylines and the art both get suggestive in places. Surfer discretion is advised.
This seems as good a place as any -- other than a Gratuitous Icon Post -- to point out that I'm now using a new-and-improved version of my 'DC Crack' icon, now with extra Dick.
Incidentally... if you want an icon I've made? Be sure that it's one I've offered for general use. Somebody recently took an icon I had made for my own use, without asking other than in an old post I made mentioning the icon and without waiting for me to say yes before setting it as their default. I haven't been using the icon myself just lately, but I had planned to rotate it back in at some point. I do make icon posts from time to time for the express purpose of sharing them, but that doesn't mean any icon I use myself is up for grabs. Thanks.

I can always put the GA/Bats icon up if I want to use it again, though, so yeah, I'll take #1 - and if you're willing to put text on it too, It'd be much appreciated. I'd understand if you chose not to, though.

If you want a slightly different version -- different type style, colour, placement, etc. -- I can do that for you but it'll be at least a week.
