The situation is horrible, and it's unfortunate that the media can't focus on what a good, brave thing it was to do instead of making it into a joke. If he'd just wanted publicity, he could have done what a lot of other entertainers are doing and granted an interview where he talked about the devastation and his frustration with FEMA and/or the government response. The fact that he went out there and did something does lead me to believe that it was for the right reason, but what irritates me is that (as Buggery mentions) Bush and Cheney *do* go out there for publicity, for photo ops, and somehow that is considered better than someone who grants a few interviews after *saving lives*.
