Oh, I have no problem, personally, with laughing my arse off at a Boondocks ep (or strip). For me, at least, the difficulty is only in talking about the experience afterwards. I throw around fag, queer and dyke quite a bit, but it comes, for me, from a place of genuinely liking those words as much or more as I'm 'trying to reclaim them.' Some thumper yelling those same words angrily at somebody -- anybody -- though... well, that's something else. And I firmly believe that getting teenagers all flustered as they try to explain why they use 'gay' as a pejorative synonymous with 'lame' provides them with a lingering reminder not to do it in future. But there I go off-topic again.
