That sounds yummy. I never tried sauteing apples with butter, when I do something similar I tend to cook them in a bit of rum (and optional some raisins), which gives nice additional flavor. I'm probably partial to the apple/rum combination because the apple pie my mom used to make also aways had a bit of rum in the filling... :)
