Before I clicked on the cut tag, I thought, "Hey, I bet that's Edifice." And I was right.
(I admit that I've never actually gotten to the language puzzle, but I sure do enjoy IF. I was really obsessed with it in high school -- someone gave me a set of Infocom games.)
For an exercise in linguistic, um, something, there is The Gostak. Enjoy. Heh.
Sadly, I haven't been able to find too many slashy games, but I sure played some bad ones while looking.
