buggeryBeen listening to the live Farm Aid broadcast all evening. (I'm assuming it's live, since Dave Matthews didn't get bleeped when he said "fuckit" though maybe they started a delay after that, cos I think something Neil Young said was dead-aired out.)
Maybe it's because of all the talk about endangered family farms and why we should buy organic produce (Kent Farm, much?), but I keep picturing Clark being there at the concert, being an adorable bouncy 16-year-old. One or both parents probably had to go with him, since it's in Pennsylvania, but being 16 he's probably off on his own -- or rather, with a bemused Lex.
If I ask nicely, will someone write me a little Clark-and-Lex-at-Farm-Aid?
I can just see Lex surprising Clark by getting them backstage so Clark can be all awed by the Famous Musician Guys while Lex makes out a large donation check. It's all win for Lex: he can write it off on his taxes, surreptitiously funnel funds to the Kents, make Clark happy (without necessarily telling him how large the donation is), and -- most importantly -- piss Lionel off.
