buggery: (Default)
Really, on balance, my day was more good than bad, today.

Having the bad consist mainly of having to sit in my wheelchair for thirty minutes in the cold rain because the driver of the bus I needed to take decided he couldn't be bothered to deal with the lift and the securements... well, there's only so much the rest of the day being good could do to make up for that.*

Still. I got to spend almost an entire hour in a hot tub bigger than some people's apartments (and with a cute guy for most of that time), I ate yummy sushi and miso soup, I got hugs from my favourite little girl in the world, and I came home to a well-deserved nap and a cuddly kitty.

AND, I started the day off right -- with the parcel post carrier delivering a package of yaoi manga by Bohra Naono, courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] jamjar. My new icon is taken from a panel in "Moment," one of the stories in the A Bird In Dream takeshobo, which is available in scanslated form from Nakama; I'll add download help to this post once I remember well enough myself or cadge from jamjar. The Japanese characters on the icon are Bohra Naono's name. (I think. I don't actually read more than a few very simple words in Japanese.) And, well. I've been needing a dreadlocks icon, since my own locks aren't actually visible in any of the icons featuring photos of me.

* This was not a plea for pity or sympathy, merely more of me venting -- I've been venting about it all day -- so that I can file a nice, calm, rational formal complaint tomorrow.

ETA: Belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY to [livejournal.com profile] sparklebutch! Hoping your day was full of glitter, fun, love and pretty boys in war paint and/or crimefighting costumes, Adam buddy...

ETA2: Hmm. Yes, I DO like the new-and-improved inline Update Journal form. Go team LJ development team!
