random meandering post
Dec. 30th, 2002 08:08 pmIt's been pointed out to me, repeatedly, that I haven't been posting "enough" lately. And there's an element of truth in that even I acknowledge; I still haven't gotten around to my post-winter-giftgiving-holiday loot report, and the Christian New Year holiday is almost upon us.
In my defence, in addition to having been busy, I did get caught up on one of the three things I needed to do with my LJ: the last month-and-some of fiction I'd posted here has been added to my Memories catalogue, and there's a link to the master list of all Jack's fanfiction on each fic post (and right there, too).
(The other two things I need to do? Respond to the lovely, if lonely, comments on my recent fic by a few kind feedbackers; and add about 50 people to my Friends. That latter is scaring me on numerous counts: For one thing, I don't know that I can get it all done in a single session, and I think I've already affronted a few people by not reciprocal-friending them in a timely manner; for another, if my friends list gets even close to triple-digit, I may never dare look at my Friends page again. I'm already mostly afraid to look there, months behind as I am on giving feedback to most of the people on it...
But let me get to the point of this post.
Heh. Tangents much?
Poor
koimistress Koi. First I forced an LJ account on her, then I stuffed it with icons behind her back. (And this is not to mention my penchant for creating new LJ communities for the purpose of recruiting others to try to seducing her back to writing Smallville fiction...) I chat with her at every available opportunity, too.
She hasn't filed for a restraining order (yet), though. And despite google, the site where I found the source image, and my recalcitrant, self-sabotaging copy of Windows all colluding to keep me from doing so, I've made Koi yet another icon.
sometimes a koi is just a koi...

...but more often, where there's Koi there's subtext.
Whew. Next project, get the comments and posts written that I still owe over on
last_men -- a significant portion of which, circularly enough, will be responses to Koi.
