Jul. 9th, 2002 05:36 amI finally broke down and got myself a place at LiveJournal.
My Real Life will be an infrequent visitor here. But for now?
I love hazy mornings like this, when distances can be measured by the depth or paleness of the landscape's colour, and my city, sprawled up and over its rounded hills, reminds me of Paris. Both cities are about as pleasant to live in. (Not very.) Paris has more culture, but here there are two fantastic West-Indian restaurants. At one, they're very nice, at the other they're ruder than Parisians. The place with the polite folks is in a horrible neighbourhood, though. Maybe I'll have sushi today instead; it still surprises me that there are three places I can get sushi here, even if only one of them is technically a restaurant, and only that one ever has saba.
Nope, not telling where I'm at. My online hobbies clash with my chosen profession, and I'd rather not choose between them.
My Best Friend, whom I'll call Vampire Hunter D -- and that's actually apt enough that most people who know him would recognise him by it -- is coming over later today. He tolerates my Smallville obsession, but I've yet to hook him on it. Persistence is a good quality.
