another dull update post

I'm all re'd up on comments from my last couple of posts, so those who had something to say have now been answered.

I've also left a message for isilya here on her journal about what she should do the last weekend in June. Isi (or anyone within shouting distance of her), if you haven't already seen it, have a peek. I'd just love to have you drop by... or if you can't, at least fill me in on this [other] big party that's going to happen in NYC?

In other news... I'm feeling ignored by seperis Jenn. If someone with access to AIM would pester her about that, I'd feel ever so much better.

Also, dammitcarl Jess? I left a couple of Authority books out of that list, if you can believe it. (Mainly a Wildstorm Annual with an adorable Authority story in it, and the first Absolute Authority "widescreen special" [there are now plans for a second] -- but sitting here in the library, the Computer Timer of Damocles over my head, I'm thinking there's another but drawing complete blank on what that might be.) Anyway, you work on getting yourself caught up, and I promise I'll write you domestic Midnighter/Apollo in exchange for fresh Cooperfic.

Moving along... jcalanthe J, did you ever connect with Jess to get my shipping address, or shall I figure out another way of getting it to you? And damnit, B was right in my backyard (NYC) and I didn't find out about it until too late. Foo!

Penelope penelope_z dearest, the prospect of co-writing Luthorcest with you is burning me the way money burns in the pocket of a junkie in Rotterdam -- so much so that I'm considering the mad prospect of trying to collaborate via transatlantic snail mail. If that sounds at all appealing to you, do get my addy from dammitcarl as well.

hey, i tried calling today but you weren't picking up... anyway, i finally figured out the first leg of my trip, down to orlando and back up the east coast. if it works out as planned, i will be at the University of Connecticut in Storrs ct by the evening of Friday, June 27th to attend a punk show. presumably, we could meet up then, or the following day? i have a cell phone now, so i'm much easier to get in touch with. you can call any time, 617 901 0541. it's free for me on weekends or weeknights past 9pm. i'll try calling you again tonight, and may end up rendering this entire post useless, but hey...

so, sorry i took so long to get my shit together, but hopefully everything will still work out :)

Sorry I missed you! If it was Tuesday, I was probably lobbying the state government and representatives of its transit subcontractors not to fuck over the elderly and disabled just to preserve our evil governor's $40 000-plus raise.

B was there for a very brief visit to see her dying grandfather, so not so much with the meeting up with other folks, alas. Under happier circumstances, she/we'll certainly try to look you up.

Oh, "Jack Buggery" will no doubt amuse the pants off my mail carrier. Or you could make it out just to "Jack." Another Bay-area friend of mine once sent me & my now-ex a holiday card addressed simply "Jack and Bear" and it arrived just fine. (Yes, my evil-ex's name is Bear.) Just be sure the apartment number (9P) is on it -- that's the main important thing.

I'm sorry B's visit was for such an unfortunate reason. I hope he passed, or will pass, peacefully, and yes, at some point, either you lot ought to come out east, or I ought to finally get round to visiting San Francisco. I have been meaning to for years.
