Jack, you know that I'm in love with Louis. I'm in love with how Lex splits himself, and the idea of Louis/Clark never even crossed my mind. Not even once - but it makes such *sense* if you think about fever dreams and what's got to be running through Lex's mind. This...this rings true. This is very Lex. The psychology of it blows me away. Really skillfully done, the way you keep him an observer. Also? The dramatic irony of Louis' comment at the end "That must've been some hallucination..." I got shivers.
The actual nitty gritty of the writing was incredibly strong here, also. It's very visual, and it's clean and the tone is just so very *Lex*.
