oh. my. god.

Jack, this is absolutely amazing. As Nifra said in her comment, I had never thought about Clark/Louis, either. This is just one incredible mindfuck that encompasses so acutely the psychosis Lex experienced on the island.

Your writing is so clean and visceral, and you present Clark through Lex's eyes in a way that retains not only an excellent characterization of Clark, but really lets us see how *Lex* views Clark; but more importantly, how Lex *wants* to view Clark. The small details about Lex's conception of who he thinks Clark is, like when Lex thinks Clark is being polite and not ripping his shirt because of Martha's upbringing. By extension, it shows who he thinks *he* is in relation to Clark. Shows how *he* might treat Clark; how the part of himself that he doesn't acknowledge, or the part of himself that has emerged to help him cope, treats Clark.

God, I'm rambling and probably not making much sense, because this is just so. damn. good. I love how Lex wants to save Clark, how his jealousy drives him to protect Clark, and I adore the end where Lex is trying to choke Louis and is confused by the fact that he doesn't have the correct grip. Guh. Fuck. I can't even put this into intelligent language, sorry.

Fucking. Amazing.

thank you!
