Steph's never been a favourite character of mine, but I think she has definite potential to become more interesting if she's written that way. We'll see, I guess.
And I didn't mind Carrie so much in DKR -- though the Bruce/Carrie implications were enough to squick me without being anything more than suggestive. I wonder how much of people's resistance to her was that (and/or the absence or vilification of Dick) rather than simply objecting to a female Robin?
