I really need a laptop, as much because I'm too often too sick to sit up at the desk as because my current machine is old and slow. Just when I was practically caught up, too. Bugger.

You being sick (which I didn't know) and the problems you're having PC-wise, well, just sympathy really. Hugs if they help, and even if they don't, dammit.

I couldn't live without a laptop. They are the gods' gift to sad gits like me who spend lots of their waking hours attached to them...

Oh, definitely. It's great to be able to lay in bed, and be completely relaxed and still be able to work on stuff. I adore my laptop because of this.

My sympathies about the being sick. I'll keep you in my prayers.

Glad you liked it. And I'm always having to choose between the screen and the tube, too. Though I can at least switch without turning much, even if the two are at opposite ends of the room.

I'm sick more often than not. I have multiple sclerosis and/or Lyme disease and/or fibromyalgia (going on 3 years and the doctors still can't make up their minds) -- I just don't spend a lot of time kvetching about it. My LJ is for fun stuff.

And the smiling and the hugs help, they really do. Right back atcha.

As for the as yet undiagnosed ailment: all I can offer are good wishes, sympathy and hugs. Not much, but they do come in bottomless supply :)
