In other news, I'm not dead. I've just been busy, and mildly gafiated -- but don't worry, I'm not going anywhere. Not permanently, anyway.

I am going to Houston, but that's temporary. Two weeks with

Finally: The English-dubbed version of Samurai Champloo is premiering this coming weekend on Cartoon Network. This would be the anime that people who don't normally enjoy anime actually like. Also?

jamjar has a couple of cool little vignettes that you should really read anyway. I've only ever seen fansubs, so I'm not sure how good the dubbing will be, but I think it's at least worth checking out. Pretty boys! Homoeroticism! Canon gay -- that doesn't ruin the slashiness. And Fuu, the girl who can out-eat the biggest sumo in Japan. And also has a squirrel. I'm having a bit of failure of eloquence here, but just trust me -- watch it.
