buggery: (Default)
I suppose I'd get more actual posting done if I didn't spend hours reading up on friends' journals and chatting with whoever's online... I think I deserve some slack, though. I haven't even started digging through the backlog of nummy fic no doubt piled up over at SSA, much less anywhere else (with the exception of a couple of things on LJ).

But I am still here, still back. Several things have been keeping me from being able to post more regularly (home care agency's unreasonableness forcing me to keep phone line free during business hours; overnight trip in conjunction with going to see Holly Near in concert; recovering from travel) and various things will continue to keep me offline for various lengths of time (continuing recovery from surgery, continuing computer problems, continuing chunks of time taken up by home care, continuing regular visits to and from Jack's Shiny New Love interest) but, rest assured, I will get online and check in one way or another at least once a week.

Oh. Did I mention the Shiny New Love Interest? Yes. Well. Here, let me quote from earlier-this-morning's chat with [livejournal.com profile] jcalanthe:

Jack and J chat about Jack's Shiny New Love Interest, a.k.a. SO )

Oh, yeah, vibrators. Something else I need to post about. But at the moment I think I'll hobble back into the bedroom and wake SO. Just wanted to remind myself to thank both J [livejournal.com profile] jcalanthe and Jess [livejournal.com profile] dammitcarl for their recent gifts. (Jess's was a CD of songs-to-write-slash-to; J sent the vibe. More on both later.)

And one parting thought, an observation from the Holly Near gig: Several of the women attending somewhat resembled Richard Belzer. Hrm. My fixation is making more and more sense. To me, at least.
