we've all got the Munchies...
Oct. 19th, 2003 11:11 pmThe generally brilliant Victoria
musesfool outdid herself earlier in the weekend while I was otherwise occupied. In this post she said, in part:
Munch. Munch should just be on every show ever.
I want Munch investigating meteor mutants on Smallville and running up against perps lawyering up with Wolfram and Hart lawyers. I want Munch coming into the ER to question a suspect who’s been shot, and Munch having coffee in Stars Hollow at Luke’s. I want Munch and Marshall to compare conspiracy theories on Alias. I want him going down to DC to see his old friend/cousin/whatever Toby Ziegler. I want him arresting Jack and Karen for indecent exposure and public drunkenness, and then having dinner with Frank and Marie Barone on Everybody Loves Raymond.
I want him guesting on the original L&O so he and Lennie can snark on each other.
I want them to bring Firefly back and have the crew find a cryogenically preserved Munch and revive him so he can ride around on Firefly, hit on Zoe, make Kaylee laugh, drink with Mal, Wash and Jayne, and corrupt Book while discussing theoretical physics with River and Simon and the ethics of legalized prostitution with Inara.
See what I’m saying? Everything’s better when you just add Munch.
Thus far, seven other LiveJournal users, including

blunaris,
northatlantic,
glossing,
vonnielake, and
plum_evil, have chimed in to agree, suggest more shows to cross Munch over into, or both.
It's a Munch-love-fest. What a thing to find after a couple of days offline.
The Munch character already has an impressive crossover resume: "Detective John Munch [has] appeared in HOMICIDE: LIFE ON THE STREET, LAW & ORDER, L&O: SVU, THE BEAT, and THE X-FILES... Richard Belzer [also]... played Inspector Henderson in four Season One episodes" of Lois And Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. (Credits courtesy TV Tome.)
All the crossovers suggested sound good to me. I'd also like to see Munch, or at the very least another Munch-like detective character, show up on Hack, The Practice, CSI, Will & Grace, Jackie Chan Adventures, Static Shock!, Samurai Jack, Andromeda, Enterprise, and Stargate SG-1, just for a start.
So, let's just open this up officially. Where would you like to see Munch turn up next?

So what else do you want to see him in?
