I'm grievously behind on doing more than skimming the journals and communities I read, and even worse behind on feedbacking people for all the lovely fic, art and meta that's been posted recently.

Do I suck? Possibly. Mainly I just haven't been able to spend as much time online lately as is my wont, what with all the having-stuff-I-need-to-do and the being-fucking-exhausted-from-doing-stuff.

If you've been feeling neglected because I haven't told you how much I adore your latest porn, drawing, scans post, or meditation on those poor disturbed DC boys (or girls), rest assured that either I DO adore it or I just haven't seen it yet. I haven't looked at but one of the WIPs lists from that meme that's going round again, which is driving me kind of nuts, but I just can't do everything right now.

Today, tomorrow and Saturday, my days are going to be filled with yet more stuff-I-need-to-do. Sunday not so much, but by that time the cumulative exhaustion will likely have swallowed me. And somewhere in all of that I'm still hoping to get a story done for the Jason ficathon. I have another story completed that I haven't made a chance to finish editing into shape for posting yet, and who knows when I'll get to that.

Oh, and GIP. Click here to see her grimming all over my journal. I love Mandy. Deadpan-est girl ever, could outgrim the Batman, eyebrows to make a salon waxer cry, and she regularly makes Death Himself dress up in drag. In case you don't recognise her, she's from this show.

Catch y'all on the flipside, assuming I ever make it there...

Oh, god; I love Mandy, too. I thought I was the only adult on the planet who watched The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. I love that the creator, Maxwell Atoms, appears to have done his cartoon history homework: for instance, Grim saying to Mandy, "Mandy! Watch me pull a werewolf out of my hat!" Hello, that's a neat turn-around from that weekly introductory sketch on Rocky & Bullwinkle. And I want a Jeff, dammit. And did you notice that Grim's father is voiced by the same guy who plays Red Foreman, the dad on That 70s Show, and he talks to Grim as if he were Eric Foreman? ::falls over laughing:: How great is it that the Single Most Terrifying Thing in the Entire Universe is... a small, blonde girl with a flower on her pink pinafore and a very bad 'tude.

I try to entice other adults to watch the show. It worked when I got them to watch the cartoon version of The Tick. Also, when I got them to watch Invader Zim, but only because Harlan Ellison pimped the show first. But then I pimped Earthworm Jim and they didn't like it, so now they won't try Grim, even when I try to get them to watch the ones that spoof HP. Joyless bastards.

[livejournal.com profile] plainsong_x & I have been discussing your Dick Grayson Ficathon, and are absolutely convinced it should actually be named the Dickathon. *12*
