Te called on us to bring back the "My [Character]" meme. Who am I to resist? Hell, I've had half this thing gathering dust on my hard drive for the last six months...
My Dick Grayson:
Is most at ease when he is in motion.
Is in motion as much as possible, whether he is at ease or not.
Has a habit of pacing on his hands when particularly distracted.
Has a habit of entering and exiting buildings via windows, ledges and rooftops, regardless of necessity or efficiency.
Developed these habits only partly due to his circus background.
Developed these habits only partly due to his Robin background.
Can't stop moving. **
Stops moving only when things are profoundly wrong.
Is naturally a perfectionist when it comes to the important things.
Was taught by the Batman that all things are the important things.
Is a natural leader, without having had to work at it.
Has had to work at giving himself any credit whatsoever for his leadership abilities.
Doesn't really believe in his own competence as a team leader.
Takes charge of teams when he's needed anyway.
Hasn't given that habit the consideration it deserves.
Still thinks of the original Titans as his family.
Still thinks of Haly's Circus as his family.
Has always thought of Bruce and Alfred, and later Barbara, Jason, Tim, and Cassandra, as his family.
Desperately needs to believe he has a family.
Is desperately afraid of losing another family.
Is desperately afraid of losing even one more member of any of his families.
Sends a Mother's Day card to Alfred every year. **
Has never thought of Bruce as his father.
Was painfully envious when Bruce adopted Jason, anyway.
Tried to think of Jason as a younger brother, and mostly succeeded.
Wishes Bruce would stop blaming himself for Jason's death.
Blames himself for Jason's death.
Has been in love with Batman since before he first put on the Robin suit.
Is still trying to convince himself it's just hero-worship, a crush, proximity.
Is firmly convinced his interest would never be returned.
Genuinely loves Barbara.
Is not *in* love with her, despite desperately wanting to be and working at it for years.
Has not yet given up on their relationship.
Began calling Barbara "Babs" to cover saying Batman's name at inappopriate moments.
Never loved Helena.
Always knew he didn't love her.
Isn't sure whether he slept with her more because she reminded him of Barbara or of Bruce. **
Thinks their affair was grossly unhealthy for himself and Helena both.
Blames himself.
Will probably get over it enough to be comfortable working with her approximately never.
Genuinely loved Koriand'r.
Was never *in* love with her, though he believed he was during their relationship.
Still loves her as a friend.
Is not nearly as comfortable being "exes" with her as he wants to be.
Desperately wants to be loved.
Is amazingly blind to how much he *is* loved.
Is inadequate to the task of rebuffing anyone's interest in him, whether he returns that interest or not.
Can't bear to reject others even for their own good, much less his own.
May have been molested as a boy by someone at Haly's Circus.
May not have any conscious memory of it, if he was.
Has never grown out of having nightmares about watching his parents die.
Still has pleasant dreams, from time to time, about flying with them in the circus.
Was so devastated when Batman took being Robin away from him that he designed a new identity unrelated to Batman.
Was so relieved when his relationship with Batman healed that he redesigned his costume to put a bat symbol on his face.
Wears a bat-shaped target on his face not, as with Batman, because his best armour is there, but because his reflexes are just that good.
Believes that in his soul he is Dick Grayson, and that Nightwing is just a role he plays at night.
Is not entirely mistaken in this belief, but is growing less correct about it as time goes on.
Knows that Bruce Wayne is just a role Batman plays during the day.
Knows that Batman is more than the Mission.
Wishes Batman knew that.
Despairs of ever living up to Batman's expectations of him.
Long ago surpassed Batman's expectations of him.
Can be differentiated from the Batman more by a certain lightness and hopefulness of spirit, than by physical appearance or costume.
Went to Bludhaven partly in hopes that it would wear down some of the spirit that differentiates him from the Batman.
Believes everyone can be saved.
Except himself.

I really need to add Tim-related and Clark-related sections to this, and do more with the Titans (and Outsiders), but I'm all Dicked out at the moment.
